

Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences
History and Structure
The Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences was established on May 5, 2010, by Rector's Order No. 704-Zh, following the decision of the University Academic Council. Over more than a decade, the faculty has evolved into a cornerstone of academic excellence, currently holding the official status of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences.
Leadership
The Dean of the Higher School is the renowned prose writer and poet, Associate Professor Nurzhan Kuantayuly Kuantayev, PhD in Philology. He is a laureate of the "Daryn" State Prize, the Kazakhstan Youth Union Prize, and the Smagul Saduakasov Prize awarded by the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan.
Faculty and Staff
The school boasts an elite academic staff, including: 1 Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 4 Academicians of the Academy of Journalism; 12 Doctors of Sciences (D.Sc.) and 24 Candidates of Sciences (Ph.D. equivalents); 3 PhD holders; 4 winners of the "Best University Teacher" national grant; 1 Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 4 Distinguished Workers of Culture.

International Cooperation
The PhD doctoral programs are implemented in collaboration with leading international universities from countries such as the UK, USA, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, Turkey, China, and others. This ensures our doctoral students are fully integrated into the global research environment.
The Chair of TV, Radio, and Public Relations was established on February 26, 2009.
The department is headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Ashirbekova Gulmira Shaitmaganbetkyzy

The Department of Printing and Publishing was founded in 1998. A great contribution to the development of the department made a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akseleu Seidimbek.
