The Development Strategy of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences for 2026-2029
The Development Strategy of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences (hereinafter – HSJSS) for 2026-2029 was developed in accordance with the Development Strategy of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU for 2021-2026, the Development Program of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU for 2022-2026, and the Concept for the Development of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2029.
The document defines the priorities and directions for the development of HSJSS in the context of structural changes in the higher education system, the digitalization of the social sphere, and the transformation of socio-humanitarian knowledge, as well as the increasing requirements for the quality of personnel training and scientific performance.
The creation of HSJSS as an integrated academic structure reflects the transition from a traditional faculty model to a more flexible and manageable form of organizing educational and scientific activities. The consolidation of journalism, social sciences, and humanities disciplines allows for the concentration of human, research, and infrastructural potential, ensuring interdisciplinary interaction and building harmonized approaches to the development of educational programs, the advancement of research areas, and the utilization of material and technical resources.
