SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND SUPPORTING GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT
The department carries out systematic work to support graduate employment, including labor market analysis, searching for and regularly updating a vacancy database, and organizing cooperation with representatives of enterprises, organizations, and educational institutions. An important factor in the successful employment and professional activity of graduates of the Department of Psychology is the annual monitoring of their employment status and career development.
The mechanisms for monitoring graduates’ professional activities include surveys, maintaining feedback through social networks, email, and messengers, as well as personal meetings and negotiations. At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Alumni Association operates to provide support for graduates and promote their further professional and career development.
Based on the general work plan of the Department of Organization and Planning, as well as the list of graduates, the Head of the Department of Psychology, Aliya Saktaganovna, annually plans employment-related activities and reflects them in the department’s work plan. The department obligatorily conducts curator hours on employment issues in order to familiarize students with opportunities for future professional activity in their chosen field of study.
For all graduates of the educational program “6B03103 Psychology,” a database on their employment distribution is formed in the Platonus information system, including information on the name and address of the organization, as well as the expected position. To ensure prompt communication, a database of graduates’ email addresses is created. Feedback is maintained through correspondence, negotiations, meetings, email communication, and surveys of graduates of the current year and previous years. An analysis of graduates’ satisfaction with their employment is conducted based on survey data from graduates of previous years.
Sustainable relations with graduates are maintained through the activities of the university Alumni Association, the formation and updating of the graduate database, and the annual organization of the Alumni Forum.
