WHY FJSS?

The learning process at the faculty combines a rich tradition and experience in journalistic and social science knowledge. It uses technology that meets modern requirements, TV-radio studios, and educational facilities.

At the faculty, there are master classes conducted by well-known journalists and scientists. These include: the state and public figure, Dr. Kuanysh Sultanov, a professor of political sciences; Gadilbek Shalakhmetov, the founder and first President of Interstate TV company "Mir"; Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, the President of "Republican newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan""; and Vladimir Pashenko, the Chairman of the Board of JK «Republican newspaper «Kazakhstanskaya рravda»». Vladimir Pashenko, famous TV star Rabiga Amanzholova, alashologist-scientist Kairat Sak, Aitmukhambet Yesdauletov, Saule Tapanova, Asima Ishanova, Onaygul Turzhan, Serikzat Duysengazy, Muratbek Toktagazin, doctor of political sciences, Professor Venera Zheksembekova, Zhanylzhan Dzhunusova, Naubat Kaliev, Maral Kaliyeva, and Rosa Nurtazina.

In the faculty there are 3 national Academy of Sciences of higher school RK, 4 academicians of the Academy of Journalism, 12 doctors of sciences, 24 candidates of sciences, 5 PhDs, 4 winners of the grant MES «The Best Teacher of the University, 1 honored worker of RK, and 4 cultural figures of RK.
