The faculty has three departments: television and radio, public relations, press and publishing, and political science.
The Department of Television, Radio, and Public Relations was established on February 26, 2009.

The Department of Press and Publishing was established in 1998.
The winner of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Seidimbek Akseleu Slanovich, made a great contribution to its organization.
The department is headed by PhD Shurentaev Amangeldy Meiramovich.
